TOWED

Yesterday, C, H, K, M, C, and myself went to Morongo cuz H had a free tourney buy-in. he ended up makin it to the final table n won 800 bucks! gaah. I had bad luck. flopped two pair n the other person caught to pair on the river. oh well, thats poker. This is a picture of the traffic we endured.. for a loong time. Oh yeah. the worst part about it was. when i got back. my car wasn't there.. because apparently it was TOWED cuz some lady said there were no spots for her to parkr. ugh... 300 bucks like that.

In other news, my niece broke her arm when she was riding the slide! Well at least its only three weeks and she's in good spirits now.  

She's a cutie =)

Something other than food

Today pretty much consisted of work. Still training for this new operating system. 

At least they feed us =) Today was chicken tostada's cated by Jay's.... man... totally awesome. Here are just some of the leftovers. Tomorrow I think is lasagna. Since I'm doing this for two weeks. I think that is what my blog  is going to be about . Food... haha I think that is practically what my blog is about. What i eat =)  I love  food.

Im BACKKK

Hello All! (1 of you.. or so), well I'm back for a 4th? 5th? 6th? time.... and we'll see how long it lasts for... I guess its a whenever I'm bored n wanna update kind of thing. Well lots of have been happening lately.. both good and bad. But anyways, onto the random pictures that I planned on doin most days for the year... C went out with her girlie friends last night while I was working. She ended up leavin her keys in her purse while they went out to the bar... BUT...her purse was in her car. SO super M came to the rescue n called AAA for them to come n unlock her door. Thats bout it. K bye.

Oh yeah, and also something worth noting, because this is something I definitely want to do around the world, but C, J, R, n myself went to Kansas City just for the weekend. There were many highlights to that trip, but the biggest one was the food. We ate at this place that was proclaimed the BEST BBQ IN THE WORLD. I had very high expectations since I love BBQ... and damnnnn did it live up to the hype. Apparently Anthony Bourdain was the one who said it was the best. I got Ribs + 1 Meat (Pulled pork) plus a bol of chili n some texas toast.

Today Cyn and I went out to go see  Angels and Demons. I must say, I thought they did a pretty good job with the movie. I read the book and I thought it had all the key points and everything was well delivered. Sometimes books aren't good when they come on the big screen, but this one was. 

After that we went to the chik-fil-a at the Cerritos Mall, but little did I know that they took it down,. So we ended up going to 5 guys. It opened recently in Cerritos but I never had a chance to try it. I must say, pretty good. I am a big burger guy and Ive had a few new burgers that I like.  I had a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard, n bbq sauce..cajun fries n a coke.

After that I went to work. Didn't take a picture today there, so thats it.

Back for a FOURTH time

So I'm back. lets see, today... I went to R's 5th birthday party. That was cool, the best part of that was the taco man. I love the taco man. I shouldve taken a picture of that but i forgot to. I have a picture of A.... nothing really to do with the party, its just the only picture i took with my phone. so heres that.

After that I had to go to work at my new job! Things were good, a little hectic at night. but its alllll good. I got it all taken care of. Alls I can say is that some people don't know how to read. Heres a pic of a plane

HOT DOGS

I participated in a HOT DOG eating contest today, it was miiiighty tasty... okay no it wasn't. I was so sick of tired after number 4. This is my second hot dog eating contest, the first one i tied for first! (out of... 2 people) and this one.... i tied for last (out of 4) haha it was real bad. The first one i ate 10 hot dogs..and i was only able to scarf down 6 hot dogs this time. heres a picture of the food. the winner ate 9 hot dogs.

Easter Sunday

S0 lately my work has been really slow, and I mean REALLY slow... but today, since it was Easter Sunday, I was able to get one! Today my job was 'swing' ...which really is pretty easy. I stand in the yellow area...waiting for trucks to come in.. while talkin to my friend

You can see in the next crane over that its on the side of the chassis because the swingmen (me) has to take off the cones... haha its pretty easy

These are the cones that you take off.. probly like 12 pounds

Then they put the container on top of the chassis, and the UTR driver goes through the scanning thing to make sure its not like a bomb or anything haha, and yep...thats it..

TWIC card

Today I had to get my TWIC card, which stands for... Transportation Worker Identification Card. Basically its a government issued ID for more security. Wierd thing about it...is that the TWIC has an ID on it..so it knows where i am! I had to get it at the Queen Mary, so i decided to take a picture of it.

Korean.....taco's?

Today in celebration of M's promotion, he made C and I some korean taco's. It was mighty tasty, there was the korean beef with some salsa that had tomatoes mangos and cilantro. very good.

Tomorrow C and I go to solvang! shoudl be fun =)

Start of a new thing

Today = more good food. Since today is friday, C and me were going to go eat some sushi, but then she thought, where can we get more BANG for our BUCK.. so instead we got some fish taco's at Rubios which were mmm delicious.

One thing, there seems to be an ongoing thing... Whenever i go to a food place and they ask for my name... I have to first say it.. then i immediately spell it to give the worker an easier time with my name, since its different. Anyway.. this is what came out of the guy when i gave him my real name.

I like churro's.
